Actually, Storm Bows function like Longbows, you're thinking of the Shadow Bow (which functions as a Horn Bow.) Eternal bows on the other hand, are the same as Recurve and Composite bows.

There ARE "eternal" staffs, my friend and I got 2 of them last night doing a smite run, its called a Ghostly Staff, and is that blueish-light blue see through looking color like the eternal shield and the eternal bow. (we also got 5 eternal and 1 storm bow that single run also! good run... good run...)

I think the staff might be a load of bull. I've never heard of it, but if you are right that is sweet as hell. Finding one with air reqs. might not be.

are there ghostly staffs of each type? like ghostly smiting staff, ghostly earth staff, ghostly healing staff, etc?

somehow i managed to find a max damage chaos axe and my warrior has been using it for quite a while. dyed it blue to make it glow red. XD

Yes ghostly staff does exists.
Heres a screenshots of the staff.

The requirement for staff it drops in underworld is very random. The one I'm holding requires smiting prayers, I also have one requires curse and illusion magic.

i call the fellblade the giant butter knife of doom myself... but than again, its taller than my E/W is so i think its name suits. I always thought it would be funny to have a minimum body scale hold one of those
